Self-hosted uptime monitoring

Snitcher

Self-hosted, multi-location uptime monitoring

Watch the health of your services from one or many vantage points — including networks with no inbound access — without paying per-location SaaS fees.

Target behind the firewall

Place a lightweight Scout agent inside a restricted network. It dials out over SignalR and streams results back — no inbound ports, no exposed services.

Multi-location, no SaaS tax

Deploy Scouts across regions, sites, or clouds and check the same resource from every one. Per-location availability and latency at no per-location cost.

Self-hosted & yours

Run the whole stack on your own infrastructure. TimescaleDB keeps the history; continuous aggregates keep dashboards fast over long windows.

Real-time status

Up / Down / Degraded / Unknown is derived live across every online Scout. Folders, heartbeat strips, uptime, and alerting react as results arrive.

How it fits together

Two moving parts — the Snitcher server and its Scouts — plus a shared wire contract.

  1. 1Define Resources (targets) and settings in the Snitcher server.
  2. 2Deploy one or more Scouts; each connects outbound to the server.
  3. 3The server pushes configuration down; Scouts run checks on schedule.
  4. 4Scouts stream results back and the server derives each resource’s status.
